Guided enemy strikes on Odesa: FSB agent sentenced to 15 years in prison

According to SBU materials, another FSB agent who directed strikes on Odesa has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. This is reported on the special service's website, UNN reports.

Details

It is noted that the agent was detained back in November 2022 in Odesa. The offender was guiding Russian missile-drone attacks on the port city.

The investigation established that he drove around the regional center in his own car, recording the locations of Defense Forces bases on a hidden video recorder. The agent stored the collected information on a memory card, which he planned to pass to his handler from the Russian Federation. Upon receiving the intelligence data, the Russians planned to use it to direct missile weapons and strike drones at the locations of Ukrainian troops.

- the message states.

It is indicated that SBU employees acted preemptively and detained the traitor while attempting to pass intelligence information to the aggressor country. According to the investigation, the agent tasks from the Russian Federation were carried out by a local unemployed man recruited by Russian special services. He came to the attention of the Russians when he posted pro-Kremlin messages in chats of Telegram channels.

In exchange for cooperation with the enemy, the traitor hoped to receive a "position" in the ranks of the occupation administration in the event of Odesa's capture. During searches, a video recorder hidden in the car, a memory card, and a smartphone with evidence of working for the Russian Federation were found on the offender

- law enforcement officers said.

They clarified that based on the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine, the court found the Russian agent guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under martial law conditions).

Recall

A few days ago, SBU employees in Odesa prevented a contract killing of the commander of a Special Operations Forces unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They detained an agent of Russian special services recruited using Viktor Medvedchuk's political project "The Other Ukraine".
