Greek Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias visited Lithuania to discuss Greece's participation in the coalition to demine Ukraine, strengthening defense cooperation within the EU and NATO, and inviting Lithuanian companies to participate in a conference on the defense ecosystem.

Greek Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias paid an official visit to Lithuania on Friday, where he met with Lithuanian National Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed further strengthening of defense cooperation both bilaterally and within the EU and NATO, as well as the development of regional and international aspects of security and defense, and noted Lithuania's participation in Greek defense innovation projects. They also discussed Greece's participation in Ukraine's demining program.

"I also had the opportunity to report on our efforts to create a defense ecosystem to meet the challenges in Ukraine and beyond. And we will be very happy if Lithuanian companies also participate in this ecosystem. In the fall, we will hold a big conference in Athens, a conference of the defense ecosystem. France will be the honored country, but we would very much like Lithuania to take part in it," he added.
