Government approves distributed generation development strategy until 2035

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a strategy for the development of distributed generation until 2035 to strengthen the resilience of the power system. The plan envisages the development of various types of generating capacities and energy storage facilities.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a strategy for the development of distributed generation for the period up to 2035, which provides for a revision of the existing approach to the development of the power system. This was announced by the government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk on Telegram, UNN reports .
The Strategy for the Development of Distributed Generation for the period up to 2035 was approved, which provides for a revision of the existing approach to the development of the power system, in particular, in terms of strengthening its resilience and flexibility, including through the development of distributed generating capacities, which can be represented by gas turbine, gas piston, cogeneration and other installations, renewable energy facilities, energy storage facilities, etc
He said that an operational action plan for the implementation of the Distributed Generation Development Strategy for the period up to 2035 in 2024-2026 had been approved.

In Ukraine, the algorithmwill be improved to ensure that blackouts are uniformly scheduled and last for a longer period of time.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that in Ukraine settlements and facilities within a 20-kilometer zone from the border with Russia and Belarus and within 20 kilometers of the frontline zone will not be cut off from electricity.
