Fuel for Ukrainian Flamingo missiles will be produced in Denmark – President of the European Commission
Kyiv • UNN
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen announced that Denmark will soon produce fuel for Ukrainian Flamingo missiles. Europe seeks to use Ukraine's military expertise to strengthen its own defense.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that Denmark will soon begin producing fuel for Ukrainian Flamingo missiles manufactured by the company Fire Point, reports UNN.
"Drones of Ukrainian design produced in Germany. Fuel for Ukrainian Flamingo missiles will soon be produced in Denmark," the agency Bloomberg quotes Ursula von der Leyen.
As the agency reports, as Europe is under pressure from the US to take on more responsibility for its own defense, Europeans seek to leverage Ukraine's military expertise gained since the start of the Russian invasion. According to the EC President, this cooperation is already yielding results.
"In other words, we need: Ukrainian ingenuity and innovation, and European scale and industrial experience," said Ursula von der Leyen.

Earlier, co-founder and chief designer of the Ukrainian company Fire Point, Denys Shtilerman, noted that Europe's main problem is over-bureaucratization, which prevents accelerating the production of effective and cheaper weapons.
"We see that Europe understands: weapons are needed that work not just on paper, but on the battlefield. But bureaucratic pressure prevents the production of cheap and effective weapons. For example, a cruise missile that our company created in nine months took us another two months to codify in Ukraine. In Europe, this would have taken at least five years," he noted .
He is convinced that reducing bureaucracy will allow European countries to move faster and create weapons that will demonstrate higher efficiency but cost less.
CEO and CTO of Fire Point, Iryna Terekh, also said that the Flamingo certification process took five weeks, including all tests.
Let us recall
The FP-5 "Flamingo" is a modern ground system UAV/cruise missile manufactured by the Ukrainian company Fire Point.
The Flamingo is designed to deliver a specified payload of up to 1150 kg to engage ground targets with fixed topographic coordinates at a range of up to 3000 km, both day and night. The missile is capable of hitting a target even under active electronic countermeasures.
Fire Point emphasizes that the FP-5 is distinguished by its ease of use and low cost. It is the largest system of its class, but it remains simple to produce and launch. It does not require expensive launch platforms - its launchers are reusable, making deployment more economical.
Open sources indicated that the missile is built on the basis of AI-25 or AI-25TL engines, but back in March 2026, Shtilerman stated that the company is completing the development of its own engine, which will be manufactured at the company's production facilities.
