France will complete work on a security agreement with Ukraine in early 2024

France intends to finalize a security agreement with Ukraine early next year to outline support, including humanitarian, military and financial assistance.
The French Foreign Ministry intends to complete the security agreement with Ukraine early next year. This was stated by a representative of the Ministry. French Foreign Minister Anne-Claire Legendre, writes Sky News, reports UNN.

It is noted that officials in Paris have been conducting negotiations with Kiev.
The agreement should determine how support will come from France to Ukraine for humanitarian and military assistance, as well as financial assistance help.
Spokeswoman Anne-Claire Legendre said she hoped at the end of the bilateral agreement on security guarantees in early 2024.

In Vilnius in early July 2023, the G7 countries signed a declaration on security guarantees for Ukraine, which will help prevent a second invasion of Russia before Ukraine becomes a member of NATO. Later to this declaration, other countries have also joined – the list is expanding.
On October 19, the first round of negotiations was held between Ukrainian officials and representatives of France on the bilateral agreement regarding security guarantees.
