Five Israeli hostages killed in captivity by Hamas militants were found in a network of underground tunnels in the northern Gaza Strip. This is reported by Reuters with reference to the Israeli Defense Forces, UNN writes.

The Israeli military showed footage of a bathroom, tiled and a workroom, connected by passageways, paved with dark concrete.
It was not reported how the Hamas hostages died. IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said that the autopsy has not yet been completed.
Three soldiers and two civilians were among the 240 people who were taken by Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip in an attack on October 7. The military announced the repatriation of their bodies earlier this month.
Earlier, Hamas claimed that some of the hostages were killed during Israeli shelling of Gaza. It also threatened to execute the hostages.
