A six-story office building caught fire near the Gorodok shopping center in Kyiv. Preliminarily, there were no injuries. Rescuers unblocked two people from the elevator car. This was reported to UNN by Pavel Petrov, a spokesman for the Kyiv State Emergency Service.

Answering the question whether a fire really occurred in Kyiv at the Gorodok shopping center, Petrov said that a six-story office building caught fire.
"There was a fire on the second floor. The fire was extinguished at 8:09 a.m. on an area of 40 square meters, and there were no injuries. Rescuers unblocked two people from the elevator car and took them out into the fresh air," Petrov said.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
