Exchange rates for May 12: Dollar and Euro continue to rise

The National Bank has set the dollar rate at 43.95 UAH, while the euro has risen to 51.72 UAH. In exchange offices, the American currency is being sold at an average of 43.85 UAH.
The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rate of the hryvnia at 43.9584 UAH/USD today, weakening the national currency by 10 kopecks over the day, reports UNN with reference to NBU data.
The NBU also set the official exchange rate of the euro against the hryvnia for May 12 at 51.7237 UAH/EUR, weakening the hryvnia by 12 kopecks over the day.
According to data on specialized websites as of Tuesday morning:
- in banks, the dollar is trading at an average rate of 43.67 UAH for buying and 44.17 UAH for selling, the euro - at 51.38 UAH and 52.06 UAH respectively;
- in exchange offices, the dollar is trading at an average rate of 43.78 UAH for buying and 43.85 UAH for selling, the euro - at 51.67 UAH and 51.88 UAH respectively.
