Difficult weather conditions in Ukraine have caused long-distance trains to be delayed by more than an hour, although no flights have been canceled and additional cars have been added to trains serving snowy regions. Despite the disruptions, Ukrzaliznytsia assures that rail transportation remains safe and reliable.
Due to difficult weather conditions in Ukraine, some long-distance trains are running with more than an hour late. In the day of November 26-27, 2023, snowfall was observed in all regions of the of the country, with snow cover in some places reaching 50 cm. In total, the railroad workers cleared about 5.4 thousand switches and 36 passenger passenger platforms. Almost 2.5 thousand railroad workers were eliminating the consequences of the bad weather.
