Due to bad weather, 559 settlements remain without electricity, new damage to power grids in four regions as a result of shelling - Ukrenergo

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, 559 settlements in 10 regions of Ukraine remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Donetsk regions. 4 high voltage lines have been powered. high-voltage lines in the southern and eastern regions have been powered. Blackouts

In general, due to the bad weather, the following areas remain without power 559 settlements in Dnipropetrovs'k, Donetsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Kherson, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Donetsk regions, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Donetsk regions.

Due to the hostilities and other reasons, 443 settlements remain without electricity. Due to the shelling there are new damages in the networks of regional power companies in Dnipropetrovs'k, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions.

Over the past day "Ukrenergo has powered 2 high-voltage 330 kV overhead lines in the southern region that were damaged by the weather. Another 330 kV line was also put into operation. kV line was also put into operation to improve the reliability of power supply in the region. Another high-voltage overhead line of 330 kV, which was out of service for technical reasons, was put back into operation in the eastern region. Consumption

Electricity consumption is growing amid frosty weather and amid frosty weather and  as repair crews restore power repair crews restore power supply to settlements affected by the by the bad weather.

Ukrenergo reminded that simultaneous power supply to a large number of consumers is a complicated technical process that  can cause overloading of power grids and lead to additional technical damage. Ukrainians were asked to consume electricity sparingly, especially in the morning and evening hours - from 9:00 to 11:00 and from 16:00 to 18:00.

During day 1 unit of the thermal power plant was taken out for emergency repairs and 1 unit was returned to and 1 unit returned to operation.

Despite the power unit was out of service, the electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is enough to meet the needs of domestic and legal consumers. No consumption limits were introduced, according to Ukrenergo.

Imports electricity is imported in the evening from Slovakia, Romania, Moldova. The total volume is 1358  MWh, with with a maximum capacity of up to 559 MW in some hours. Technically possible maximum capacity 1200 M.
