A video published by eyewitnesses captured the moment a drone struck the refinery's territory. ASTRA analysts geolocated the footage and established that the filming was conducted at a distance of about 3.5-4 kilometers from the enterprise. Later, the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Krai confirmed the information about the attack and the fire.

The Ilsky Refinery is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation. Its design capacity is approximately 6.6 million tons of oil per year. The plant plays an important role in supplying fuel to the southern regions of Russia.
