Doctors at the Ukrainian Heart Institute have successfully removed a fragment of a Russian mine from the heart of a 4-year-old girl wounded in a mortar attack in Kherson. The girl's condition after the surgery is stable and serious.

Cardiac surgeon Boris Todurov and the director of the Institute noted that the child is 4 years old.

"A 4-year-old girl came under fire in Kherson. She miraculously survived. She was operated on at the Heart Institute, her condition is stable," he wrote.

Russian troops shelled a car with artillery in the suburbs of Kherson. As a result, the car caught fire, a 64-year-old man was killed, a two-month-old child was injured, and his mother was hospitalized in serious condition.

Later it was reported that the wounded baby would be transferred to Odesa with its mother.
