Defense needs, humanitarian demining and the restoration of Ukraine: Zelenskyy talked to the Prime Minister of New Zealand

President Zelenskyy thanked the New Zealand Prime Minister for his support against Russia and discussed further cooperation in defense and recovery. They also discussed the upcoming Global Peace Summit.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with the newly elected Prime Minister of New Zealand, Christopher Mark Markson, UNN reports with reference to the Presidential Office.

The Head of State thanked the Prime Minister for the military, financial and humanitarian assistance provided by New Zealand to Ukraine in the context of the full-scale invasion of Russia. The parties expressed confidence in the further comprehensive support of our state by the new New Zealand government.
The President praised New Zealand's clear support for our country on international platforms, the imposition of sanctions against Russia, joining the activities of the Contact Group in the Ramstein format and participation in legal processes to bring the aggressor state to justice.
The parties discussed Ukraine's defense needs, taking into account the current situation at the frontline, further cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining, as well as New Zealand's involvement in projects to restore our country.
Zelenskyy informed about the progress made by Ukraine in restoring freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and ensuring the operation of a special sea corridor.
Special attention was paid to the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and the organization of the Global Peace Summit.
