The State Bureau of Investigation has launched a pre-trial investigation into facts published in the media regarding possible violence and abuse of power in the assault regiment "Skelya". The case has been opened under the article on abuse of power under martial law.

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation have initiated a pre-trial investigation into the facts published in the media regarding possible unlawful actions against servicemen of the assault regiment "Skelya". This is reported by UNN with reference to SBI.
Details
The Bureau noted that they systematically respond to reports of possible violations of the rights of servicemen and abuse of office in military formations.
Each such report is subject to thorough verification within the framework of current legislation
It is noted that the journalistic material contains information about the probable use of violence, abuse of official authority, and other possible violations by certain officials of the unit.
To verify the stated facts, investigators entered the relevant information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 5 of Article 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - exceeding authority or official powers by a military official, committed under martial law, which caused grave consequences.
Currently, law enforcement officers are conducting a set of procedural actions to establish an objective picture of the events and verify the reliability of the published information.
Based on the results of the investigation, a proper legal assessment will be given to the actions of all persons whose involvement in possible offenses will be established
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Procedural guidance is provided by the Dnipro Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sector of the Eastern Region.
