Alina Mykhailova said that Dmytro Kotsiubailo would not accept help from Poroshenko's foundation because of harassment by Eurosolidarity supporters. After receiving the title of Hero of Ukraine from Zelensky, Da Vinci and his family received threats.

The commander of the Da Vinci Wolves battalion, Dmytro Kotsyubaylo (call sign "Da Vinci"), would not accept help from the Poroshenko Foundation because of the harassment of him and his family by supporters of the Eurosolidarity leader. Alina Mikhailova, the widow of the Hero of Ukraine, told in an interview.

Would Da Vinci have accepted help from Petro Oleksiyovych's foundation during his lifetime? No, I can say this sincerely and openly. It would not have happened. Da Vinci was very emotionally affected by all the "trash" that was happening to him at the time. Because it was the supporters of the 5th president who wanted Da Vinci, when Da Vinci accepted the Hero of Ukraine award from Zelensky

- says Alina Mikhailova.

According to the widow, after receiving the award from the President, Da Vinci and his family received curses and threats.

"At that time, Dmytro's family, his sisters, and his mother were threatened by people who said, 'It would be better if he died than receive this award. He was in despair, he did not understand why the people for whom he had been fighting for so many years treated him this way," says the widow of Da Vinci.

As reported, Dmytro Kotsiubailo died on March 7, 2023, in the fighting near Bakhmut, he was 27 years old. A mortar shell exploded near him, and one of the fragments hit him in the neck. On March 10, 2023, thousands of military and civilians gathered on Kyiv's Independence Square to send the Da Vinci to its final resting place.
