The Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, damaged by Russian drones, has been conserved. Ukraine is preparing to restore the cathedral with the support of international partners.
The Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, which suffered the most damage as a result of the Russian drone attack, has already been preserved to protect it from further destruction. Ukraine is also preparing for its restoration with the support of international partners. This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports UNN.

According to the head of state, the relevant report on the elimination of the consequences of the Russian strike was presented by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.

Work on the preservation of the Dormition Cathedral, which was most damaged by Russian drones, has already been completed. The roof of the cathedral has been covered to prevent the building's condition from worsening due to weather conditions. We are preparing the restoration of the cathedral, and this is now the responsibility of, in particular, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The President noted that the issue of restoring the shrine has already been discussed with international partners.
Recently, during a meeting with the President of Switzerland, we agreed that partners would support the initial steps of restoration, and it is important that the full result is also properly ensured
In addition, Zelenskyy reported that the Minister of Internal Affairs briefed on the work of the State Emergency Service units and other structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in eliminating the consequences of Russian attacks in other regions of Ukraine, as well as on the execution of tasks by the National Guard, the National Police, and the State Border Guard Service.
Minister Klymenko also reported on the involvement of the State Emergency Service and other components of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system of Ukraine in eliminating the consequences of Russian strikes in our other regions. Separately, we discussed the tasks of the National Guard of Ukraine units, the National Police, and the State Border Guard Service in protecting our state at the front.
