Channel 24 journalist Pechiy stays in Europe after EU summit, fleeing Ukraine

Channel 24 journalist Oleksiy Pechiy fled to Europe after the EU summit in Brussels and did not return to Ukraine, which caused shock and disapproval from his employer, the Lux media holding.

The host of Channel 24, Oleksiy Pechiy, has fled abroad, taking advantage of a business trip to Brussels. This information was confirmed by in the media holding on whose TV channel the journalist worked, UNN reports .

So, Oleksiy Pechiy received accreditation for the EU Summit, which took place from December 14 to 15. However, upon its completion the journalist and host did not return to Ukraine. And only a week later he wrote a post, in which he tried to justify his treacherous position. According to the CEO of Director of Lux Media Holding Roman Andreiko said he was shocked by the Oleksiy Pechiy.

Oleksiy Pechiy received a travel permit when he left to Brussels to cover the European Council summit on December 14-15. European Council summit on December 14-15. However, after the event, he decided not to return to Ukraine.

The official reaction of the media holding to Heartburn's action is extremely disapproving.

Roman Andreiko, CEO of Lux Media Holding, said that Oleksiy Pechiy decided not to return to Kyiv, to Ukraine. And that he fled the country, "realizing all the consequences of his escape". By doing so, the host literally burned bridges.

Channel 24 host Iryna Uzlova also reacted to her colleague Oleksiy Pechiy's action .
