Brother of Hero of Ukraine Dmytro Kotsiubailo dies

Ivan Kotsyubaylo, the younger brother of the fallen Da Vinci Wolves battalion commander Dmytro Kotsyubaylo, has died. The tragedy occurred on the eve of the Hero of Ukraine's birthday.
The family of the Hero of Ukraine Dmytro Kotsyubaylo suffered a loss - the defender's younger brother Ivan died, UNN reports with reference to the Burshtyn City Council.
"Another terrible grief has come to the family of our defender, Hero of Ukraine Dmytro Kotsyubaylo... On the eve of his birthday, his younger brother Ivan passed away..." the statement reads.
Burshtyn City Council expressed sincere condolences to the family and friends.

Today, on November 1, Dmytro Kotsiubailo "Da Vinci" would have turned 29 years old. The commander of the Da Vinci Wolves battalion died on March 7, 2023.
According to open sources, Dmytro's great-grandfather fought in the UPA.
"Da Vinci was born into a large family. He had a brother and four sisters.
On September 12, 2024, it became known that one of Dmytro's twin sisters, Oleksandra, signed a contract with the 1st Separate Assault Battalion named after her brother, which he created and commanded.
