According to the deputy minister, the Yahodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint on the border with Poland has been opened and more than 100 cars have passed through it. However, the other three checkpoints with Poland remain blocked
Three checkpoints on the border with Poland remain blocked. Traffic through the Yagodyn-Dorogusk checkpoint has been restored, Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Serhiy Derkach said on Tuesday, UNN reports .
Today we have good news, which actually happened yesterday. The Yahodyn-Dorogusk checkpoint has opened. Vehicles are already on their way. More than 100 vehicles have passed through the checkpoint during this period of time, both entering and leaving Ukraine. This is much more than before. He noted that the protesters are not happy about the news, as the decision to open this checkpoint was made by the head of the local authorities in Dorohusk.
"The protesters even put and blocked a truck on one of the roads, but now the police are trying to remove it from the road. The trucks are going around on another road, so there are no traffic jams so far," Derkach added.
He also said that three checkpoints on the border with Poland remain blocked.
In addition, the deputy minister said that Hungarians have started protests at the border, but they are not blocking traffic.
"Traffic at the Chop checkpoint continues to move. But there are protesters near the road. They are controlled by the police," Derkach said.
