More than 3,000 trucks are stuck at Ukrainian border crossings, half of them at the Yahodyn checkpoint

As of today, just over 3,000 trucks have gathered in queues in Poland toward the border with Ukraine amid the blockade of Polish carriers. The smallest number of trucks pass through Yagodyn. This was reported to UNN by Andriy Demchenko, a spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Blocking is currently taking place in three directions. These are the Yagodyn-Dorokhusk, Krakivets-Korczowa, and Rava-Ruska-Krebenne checkpoints. A little more than 3 thousand trucks are queued in these directions towards Ukraine on the territory of Poland. Half of them are at the Yagodyn checkpoint. It is through Yagodyn that the smallest number of trucks passes

- Demchenko said.

The SBGS spokesperson noted that just over 50 trucks crossed into and out of Ukraine over the past day, none of them leaving Ukraine. He also noted that this is the largest infrastructure checkpoint, which can handle at least 1,200 trucks per day.

In addition, Demchenko reported on the situation on other sections of the border.

"There are still queues at other parts of the border with other countries because of the blockade, but traffic is moving there. In particular, there are about 560 trucks in the queue towards Ukraine on the Slovak border at the Uzhhorod checkpoint. There are 750 on the border with Romania and Hungary," said Demchenko.

AddendumAddendum

Polish carriers have been blocking truck traffic on the border with Ukraine since November 6, first at three checkpoints and later at four. Among the demands of Polish carriers is the return of permits for Ukrainian drivers.

On December 11, Polish carriers unblocked the Dorohusk-Yahodyn checkpoint. And on December 18, they again blocked the passage of trucks through Dorohusk-Yahodyn.

Since December 24, traffic at the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint has been unblocked from the Polish side  .
