More than 2,000 trucks are queuing at three checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border due to the blockade of Polish carriers, half of them at the Shehyni checkpoint, and 1,100 trucks pass through the Yahodyn checkpoint per day.

As of this morning, slightly more than 2,000 trucks are queuing in Poland toward the border with Ukraine amid the blockade of Polish carriers. About 1.1 thousand trucks crossed the border in both directions at the unblocked Yagodyn checkpoint over the past day. This was reported by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service Andriy Demchenko on Radio Liberty, according to a correspondent of UNN.

As of this minute, three checkpoints remain blocked   : Rava-Ruska-Hrebenne, Krakivets-Korczowa  and Shehyni-Medyka. According to the information we have from our Polish colleagues, there are just over 2 thousand trucks in queues at all three of these crossing points in Poland heading to Ukraine. Half of them are in the direction of the Shehyni checkpoint

- Demchenko said.

He noted that there is some traffic through these checkpoints, both entering and leaving Ukraine, but it is much less than before the blockades.

Demchenko also reminded that on December 11, direction  of the Yahodyn checkpoint  was unblocked.

"The traffic has been moving all this week. Every day, the number of trucks crossing the border in the direction of the Yahodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint  was increasing.  Over the past day, for example, about 1 100 trucks crossed the border there in both directions. The day before, it was 1,500. Two days ago, it was about 1 200 trucks. As of this morning, there are about 2,300 trucks waiting in line opposite the Yagodyn checkpoint  to cross into Ukraine," said Demchenko.

He noted that the State Border Guard Service has information that the blocking of the Yahodyn checkpoint may resume today.

"We have information, we have seen it from open sources, that the blocking actions in the direction of the Yahodyn checkpoint may resume today around 15:00," Demchenko said.
