An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 occurred in the Romanian Vrancea Mountains, which was felt by those indoors but did not pose a threat to Ukraine.

A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck last night in Romania's Vranca Mountains, 134 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. The earthquake does not pose a threat to the population of Ukraine, the Main Center for Special Control of the State Committee for State Control of Ukraine reported on Monday , UNN reported.

On December 4, 2023, at 00:05:47 (Kyiv time), the Main Center for Special Control registered an earthquake from the territory of Romania, in the Vranca Mountains, with a magnitude of 4.6 (Richter scale). The earthquake does not pose a threat to the population of Ukraine,

the center reported.

The source of the earthquake is reportedly located in Romania, in the Vranca Mountains, 134 km from the border with Ukraine, at a depth of 142 km.

The vibrations can be felt only by individuals who are calm indoors, especially on the upper floors.
