Argentine President Javier Milei reduced the number of ministries from 18 to 9 just hours after his inauguration. Among the ministries retained are Defense, Foreign Affairs, and Economy; several others were downgraded or merged.
Newly elected Argentine President Javier Milei signed his first hours after his inauguration, he signed his first decree. According to the document, the number of ministries should be reduced to 9. This is reported by the Eldiarioar edition, reports UNN.

The country will have ministries of defense, foreign affairs, Economy, Internal Affairs, Security, Infrastructure, Justice, International Trade and Culture, Health, and Trade and Culture, Health and Human Capital.
The new ministry will be the Human Capital Ministry. It will be will be headed by former journalist Sandra Pettovello.

Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation - which will cease to be a ministry in Argentina to be a ministry in Argentina - will become the responsibility of a chief of staff, with budgetary credits, and organizational units.
