According to the human rights organization HRW, in Afghanistan, the ruling radical Islamic Taliban banned women from receiving medical training. However, according to AFP information from several officials of the Ministry of Health, "there is no official circular.
But the directors of the institutions were informed during the meeting that "women can no longer study at their institutes.
Thus, according to HRW experts, women in Afghanistan will no longer have one of the last opportunities for further education.
