Admissions-2026: nearly 213,000 applicants received university admission recommendations, more than a third for state-funded places

Recommendations for admission to higher education institutions are already available in electronic accounts, and 212,837 applicants have received them for bachelor's degree programs, more than a third of them for state-funded places, the Ministry of Education and Science reported, explaining how to check them and what to do next, UNN writes.

Overall, following the automated allocation of places according to the algorithm for targeted placement, 212,837 applicants received recommendations: 73,129 — for state-funded places; 139,708 — for tuition-based places

This concerns admission to higher education institutions for bachelor's degree programs, as well as master's programs in medicine, veterinary medicine, and pharmacy.

As noted, information about admission can also be checked on the YEDEBO website. This resource and the applicant's electronic account are the only official sources containing verified data.

For applicants who have received a recommendation for admission, the status next to one of their applications has changed to "Recommended for admission" (state-funded or tuition-based). A recommendation is issued for only one application and one place.

What happens next

Next, if an applicant wishes to be admitted to study under this application, they must by 18:00 on August 11: 

• confirm their choice of place of study in the electronic account or at the educational institution;
• conclude an education agreement between the educational institution and the applicant;
• fulfill other admission requirements stipulated by the Admission Rules of higher education institutions.

Also, this year the applicant's military registration document is being automatically verified for the first time through YEDEBO.

For the first time this year, applicants can sign an education agreement directly in the applicant's account using a qualified electronic signature. This is an alternative option: if desired, the agreement can still be signed at the institution, as before.

Admission will continue through August 13 inclusive.

If all the required actions are successfully completed, the status of the relevant application will change to "Included in the admission order".

After that, all other applications with priority rankings will receive the status "Deactivated (due to admission to study)". 

Starting August 14, recommendations will be issued for vacant tuition-based places to applicants who did not receive recommendations during the automated allocation. Admission under such applications will continue through August 30.

If an applicant wishes to participate in the competition for a tuition-based place in the second stage under such an application, in the "Active actions" menu they must select: "I confirm my desire to be admitted under this application on a tuition-paying basis, even if I am admitted under any other application with a priority ranking".

Deactivated applications may also be reactivated by admissions committees at the applicant's request.
