Admission Campaign: 69 thousand applicants enrolled in state-funded education this year

This year, 69 thousand applicants have already enrolled in state-funded bachelor's programs. In total, the number of applicants for bachelor's degrees may reach 140 thousand. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykhailo Vynnytsky during a briefing on Thursday, UNN reports.

The admission campaign is in full swing. We can now talk about the results of admission to state-funded places. As of today, we have 69 thousand applicants for bachelor's degrees, out of a total of approximately 140 thousand who are expected to enter the bachelor's program

He reminded that this year a new innovation has appeared - state grants. This is an opportunity for this year's applicants who apply for contract training to receive additional financial support - 15-20 thousand, depending on the results of the MST.

"For those who have high enough scores but do not get into state-funded places, the state is introducing grants this year to cover part of their tuition fees," the deputy minister said.

You can get a state grant   through Diia.  Additional financial support is provided to applicants who:

- enrolls in a bachelor's (or master's) degree program in medicine, veterinary medicine, or pharmacy after high school or college;

- is enrolled in a full-time or dual enrollment program on a contract basis;

- has NMT (EIT) results in any two subjects with scores of at least 150 points (first-level grant) or at least 170 points (second-level grant).
