The Constitutional Court on Monday declared valid the first round of presidential elections in Romania. after counting most of the ballots in the first round, the constitutional judges unanimously rejected the application to appeal the election.
It is confirmed that Elena Lasconi and Celine Giorgescu are the candidates who will compete in the second round: it will be held on December 8.
UNN previously reported that in Romania, votes are being recounted after the victory of a pro-Russian candidate in the presidential election. It was assumed that the Constitutional Court could cancel the results.
