A record 195.7 thousand tons of cargo were exported from Pivdennyi port by the Panamanian-flagged CAPTAIN LEONIDAS . In total, more than 36 million tons of cargo have already been exported through the Ukrainian sea corridor. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction - Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov on Facebook, UNN reports.
A record 195.7 thousand tons were exported from Pivdennyi port on one vessel. The Panamanian-flagged CAPTAIN LEONIDAS became the largest vessel to call at Ukrainian ports since the start of the full-scale invasion
According to him, this vessel is 300 meters long, 50 meters wide, and has a deadweight of more than 203 thousand tons.
According to Kubrakov, more than 36 million tons of cargo have been exported through the Ukrainian sea corridor since August 2023. This is higher than the grain initiative's performance in the first year of its existence.
The Ukrainian corridor has already been used by 1,286 ships, which have exported 25 million tons of agricultural products to Asia, Africa, and Europe. Currently, 135 vessels are waiting to enter the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi, exporting 4 million tons of cargo.
