According to passengers, a woman died on the Zaporizhzhia-Uzhhorod night train on July 16 due to the extreme heat in the carriage. The temperature in some cars exceeded 30°C, the air conditioning was not working, and ventilation was ineffective.

It is noted that one of the fellow travelers of the deceased passenger said that it was very hot in the compartment, and the air conditioning did not work, and for wet and out of breath passengers, this trip was a mockery. Travelers said that the temperature in some cars was above 30°C.

As the publication notes, trains also have mechanical ventilation. However, in extreme heat and when the cars are heated, it is not able to lower the air temperature in such conditions. In addition, passengers say that the ventilation in the new cars is very poor.

Despite the fact that the incident occurred two days ago and the public outcry online, Ukrzaliznytsia has not officially commented or responded to the information.

The press service of Ukrzaliznytsia told the UNN journalist that a comment could be obtained only through an official request.
