A drunk driver in Lutsk collided with an electric car, injuring another driver who was not hospitalized; the drunk driver's alcohol level was 10 times the legal limit. Police detained the vehicle and are preparing charges.
In the evening of December 7 on Karpenko-Karyi Street in Lutsk, a 36-year-old driver, driving a drunk Hyundai IX35, caused an accident by colliding with an electric car Volvo XC40, driven by a 40-year-old local resident.
This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the Volyn police.
The accident occurred yesterday, December 7, on Karpenko-Karyi Street. A 36-year-old resident of Lutsk, driving a drunken Hyundai IX35, drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a Volvo XC40 electric car driven by a 40-year-old local resident.- informs the police of Volyn region.
As a result of the the driver of the Volvo XC40 was injured in the accident, but as indicated, he was not was not hospitalized. The vehicles sustained mechanical damage.
According to police, the offending driver had 2.85 ppm of alcohol in his blood, which is more than 10 times the legal limit. The police seized the Hyundai IX35 car was seized and taken to the impound lot.
