A young man who stole UAH 13,600 in scholarship money from a 17-year-old orphan through access to his banking application will be tried in Kyiv. The offender spent the stolen money to celebrate his own birthday.
A 20-year-old businessman who stole 13,600 hryvnias of a scholarship intended for an underage orphan through a bank application will be tried in Kyiv. The young man spent the money on a birthday celebration. UNN reports this with reference to the Kyiv police.

The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was friends with the offender and the day before had used his phone to access his personal account in the bank's mobile application.
Having access to online banking, the offender transferred to his card the funds of his friend, which he received as a scholarship from an educational institution and a social allowance as an orphan. The offender used the money to celebrate his birthday.
The police notified the young man of suspicion and sent the indictment to court. He faces up to 8 years in prison.
