President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is convinced that it will be right to start negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the European Union in June. Zelensky said this during a summit in Vilnius, as quoted by the president's official website, UNN reports.

"All the contradictions that exist in Europe must be resolved democratically and in negotiations between equals. And the time we can use for rapprochement should be used without losing a single day, let alone a month. In June, it will be right to actually start negotiations on Ukraine's accession (to the EU - ed.)," Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy hopes that June will also be important for the Peace Formula. He invited the countries participating in the summit to take part in the first inaugural Global Peace Summit in Switzerland and called for the involvement of world leaders.
The Head of State also called on the countries participating in the Three Seas Summit to strengthen unity in the European Union.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine needs an invitation to join NATO this year, calling it realistic because Ukraine defends the Alliance's common values and deserves reliable security, as does the Baltic region after Finland and Sweden joined.
