An investigation has been launched in Ukraine into the distribution of a video of the beheading of a Ukrainian defense lawyer, UNN reports, citing the Prosecutor General's Office.
"...a pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the statement said.

As part of the investigation, law enforcement officers are conducting urgent investigative actions aimed at verifying this information and related circumstances.
The dissemination of such a video by representatives of the Russian Federation once again demonstrates their complete disregard for the norms and principles of international humanitarian law.
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the SBU Main Directorate.
