The UN monitoring mission believes that the attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv was probably caused by a Russian missile, not a missile shot down by Ukrainian air defense.

The UN monitoring mission in Ukraine believes that the attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv was caused by a Russian missile. However, they cannot make a final conclusion. This was stated to journalists by the head of the UN monitoring mission Danielle Bell, Reuters reports, UNN reports.

Details

Analysis of the video footage and the assessment made at the scene of the incident indicate that it is highly likely that the children's hospital was hit directly, rather than damaged by the interception of the weapon system

- said Bell.

She added that her team in Ukraine, which visited the site of the June 8 tragedy, could not reach a final conclusion, but believed that the missile was probably launched by Russia.

According to her, the situation requires further investigation.
