Ukraine is preparing to receive Mirage 2000 fighter jets, which will be the next step in strengthening the country's defense capabilities. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov during a telethon, UNN reports.
"This year we worked fruitfully with our partners. I would like to note that a third of these investments were made by the state. We invested and created our own defense industry... As for our partners, we paid a lot this year - tens of billions of dollars," Umerov said.
According to the Defense Minister, Ukraine has received a lot of Patriot air defense systems this year.
"We received a lot of Patriots, NASAMS, Cheetahs - this is strong support. We also received support from our partners in military equipment, including F-16s, which are already shooting down missiles. Soon we will start working on getting Mirage 2000," he said.
