The deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods for the first quarter of this year amounted to $8.6 billion, which is 43% more than in the same period last year. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, reports UNN.

In the first quarter of 2025, Ukraine's trade turnover reached $28.4 billion. In January-March 2025, Ukraine imported goods worth $18.5 billion, and exported - $9.9 billion. At the same time, taxed imports reached $13.9 billion, or 75%.
Countries from which the most goods were imported to Ukraine:
- China - $3.9 billion;
- Poland - $1.7 billion;
- Germany - $1.5 billion.
The most exported from Ukraine to:
- Poland - $1.1 billion;
- Italy - $680 million;
- Spain - $650 million.
In the total volume of goods imported in January-March 2025, 68% were the following categories of goods:
- machinery, equipment and transport - $6.8 billion;
- chemical industry products - $3.2 billion;
- fuel and energy - $2.5 billion.
The top three most exported goods from Ukraine included:
- food products - $5.8 billion;
- metals and products made of them - $1.1 billion;
- machinery, equipment and transport - $882 million.
