BlueBird Tech has joined the Pentagon's Drone Dominance program for UAV development. The project envisions the procurement of 200,000 drones by 2027.

The Ukrainian technology company BlueBird Tech has become a participant in the Pentagon's large-scale Drone Dominance Program: "The Road to the Gauntlet: Phase 2 Qualifier," which involves the development and testing of next-generation unmanned technologies. This was reported by the company, according to UNN.

Details

BlueBird Tech is participating in the program together with its American partner, Zaruba Inc.

The company noted that the participation of Ukrainian specialists is officially supported by the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco, which appealed to the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine to facilitate visa processing for BlueBird Tech representatives.

"Drone Dominance is a large-scale international next-generation technology plan that sets the pace for the development of the entire unmanned systems industry. For us, participation in it is an opportunity not only to represent Ukrainian engineering but also to be among those who shape the standards of the future battlefield,"

- stated Valeriy Zarubin, co-founder of BlueBird Tech.

What is known about the Drone Dominance program

The Drone Dominance Program is a new Pentagon initiative aimed at the accelerated procurement of small strike drones for American combat units.

The program brings together companies, engineers, operators, and military experts working on modern warfare technologies.

The "The Road to the Gauntlet" stage is considered one of the most difficult and prestigious in the program.

Within its framework, the following are tested:

  • autonomous unmanned platforms;
    • tactical FPV and ISR systems;
      • artificial intelligence solutions for the battlefield;
        • communication and navigation systems;
          • EW (Electronic Warfare) technologies and counter-drone systems;
            • integration of robotic platforms into combat scenarios.

              The official website of the program states that the initiative involves funding at the level of $1 billion over two years. By 2027, the Pentagon plans to purchase more than 200,000 drones.

              The company announced integration into global defense-tech

              BlueBird Tech emphasized that participation in the program opens access for the company to the international defense-tech ecosystem and new partnerships.

              "Today's war is becoming a battle of engineering solutions and the speed of their adaptation to the needs of the front. The fact that Ukrainian specialists are becoming part of this process is an indicator that Ukraine is already forming a new global defense-tech architecture,"

              - noted Zarubin.

              The company added that they continue to work on creating modern unmanned aviation systems, EW, and robotic solutions that are being tested in the conditions of modern warfare.
