The parliament's decision to ratify the agreement and memorandum on 90 billion euros of support from the EU opens the possibility for the first tranche to arrive as early as June, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported on social media on Thursday, UNN reports.
"A very important decision that opens the possibility for the first tranche to arrive as early as June. In total, this year we expect 45 billion euros of support within the framework of the EU Ukraine Support Loan instrument,"
According to her, the funds will be directed toward "the defense and security of the state, strengthening energy resilience, and covering the budget deficit."
"The support of the European Union allows Ukraine to maintain macro-financial stability and fulfill social obligations to the people," she emphasized.
The Prime Minister noted that "the joint work of the government and parliament to fulfill international obligations, implement reforms, and maintain external financing, which is critical for the state's resilience," continues.

The Verkhovna Rada voted to ratify the agreement and memorandum for Ukraine to receive a loan from the European Union totaling 90 billion euros for 2026-2027. 298 votes in favor.
