Large-scale forest fires in Zakarpattia and Rivne regions, which covered about 165 hectares of forest land, have been localized, and containment efforts are ongoing, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on Thursday, UNN writes.

Zakarpattia region
Specifically, on the territory of the Verkhno-Volovets forestry, the fire covered an area of about 75 hectares. 217 people and 30 units of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire, including 75 rescuers and 22 units of equipment from the State Emergency Service. Foresters and volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society's Rapid Response Unit are also working on-site.
Rivne region
On the territories of the Klesiv forestry, the Rivne Nature Reserve, and the "Selyanskyi Lis" (Peasant Forest) specialized forestry cooperative, the fire covered an area of about 90 hectares. 51 people and 13 units of equipment are working on-site, including 24 rescuers and 8 units of State Emergency Service equipment.
There is no threat to settlements. Fire containment operations are ongoing,
