Donald Trump stated that attacks on Hezbollah are not included in the two-week truce. In response, Iran banned tankers from passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

US President Donald Trump today called Israeli strikes on Lebanon "a separate clash" with "Hezbollah" that "was not included" in the two-week ceasefire agreement, UNN reports with reference to CNN.

"Yes, they were not included in the agreement," Trump said in a phone call with PBS News Hour this morning. "Because of Hezbollah. They were not included in the agreement. That will be dealt with too. Everything is fine."

A senior White House official told CNN on Tuesday that Israel had agreed to suspend its bombing campaign while negotiations continued, but Trump appeared to agree that Israel would continue to strike Lebanon during this time.
