Traffic at certain checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border in Odesa region has been restricted due to Russian strikes. UNN reports this with reference to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova.
Details
As Ukrainian border guards noted, traffic is currently temporarily restricted on a particular section of the Odesa–Reni highway. As a result, traffic to and from certain checkpoints on the border with Moldova in the direction of Odesa is impossible.
Footage of queues at the border appeared in Telegram channels in Odesa region on the morning of August 9.
Meanwhile, Moldovan customs officials reported that traffic on the bridge near the "Maiaki-Udobne" settlements has been temporarily suspended.
At the "Palanca–Maiaki–Udobne" and "Tudora–Starokozache" border customs posts, the processing of persons and vehicles is carried out only in the direction of entry into the Republic of Moldova. However, departure from the Republic of Moldova is possible only through the "Tudora–Starokozache" border customs post.
Moldovan and Ukrainian customs and border officials recommend that citizens take this information into account when planning trips, avoid traveling to the specified area, exercise increased caution, and refrain from traveling to Odesa region.
We remind you
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine included the Republic of Moldova in the list of states whose citizens are eligible for a simplified mechanism for acquiring Ukrainian citizenship.
