Police have opened a case regarding the beating of veteran Artem Moroz in Kyiv. The guilty TCC officials will be transferred to serve in combat units.

Those responsible for the beating of veteran Artem Moroz in Kyiv will be transferred to combat units. This was reported by the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Saturday, UNN reports.

"During notification activities, a conflict situation arose between a serviceman of the Kyiv City Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TCC & SSC) and war veteran Artem Moroz. The serviceman used physical force, which in this case cannot be justified by anything," the statement reads.

The police have initiated criminal proceedings regarding the unlawful actions of the TCC & SSC serviceman. Based on this fact, the Shevchenkivskyi Police Department entered information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The victim was issued a referral for a forensic medical examination to determine the severity of the bodily injuries sustained. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

Regarding the responsible officials, a decision will be made for them to undergo further service in combat units. The leadership of the Kyiv City TCC & SSC is in constant contact with the affected veteran. Officials categorically do not support such actions by personnel and have already officially apologized to the veteran,

The Ground Forces stated that they resolutely condemn such unlawful actions.

"Interaction with people, both civilians and servicemen, must be based on the principles of humanity and respect. The dignity and rights of war veterans are an absolute priority for the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the Ground Forces added.
