The UK Permanent Representative to the OSCE, Neil Holland, said that London would not determine the pseudo-elections in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. "Russia is holding its presidential election against the will of the Ukrainian people. He also noted that the UK strongly condemns Russia for holding the presidential election in Ukraine, which is contrary to international law, in particular the UN Charter. And he emphasized that "these so-called 'elections' on the sovereign territory of Ukraine are illegal.
Russia has no legal basis for such actions on the territory of Ukraine. We do not recognize the results of any sham referendums or elections. Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Crimea are part of Ukraine. Holding sham elections in these regions will not change this fact
