The Stratcom Centre has identified a Russian disinformation campaign concerning the destruction of cultural heritage. Propaganda accuses Ukraine and the West of destroying monuments.

Over the past 24 hours, the Center for Strategic Communications recorded approximately 160 publications on resources involved in Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI), which spread propaganda clichés and narratives about Ukraine's alleged "destruction of cultural heritage" and its "responsibility" for the destruction of historical monuments. This was reported by the Center for Strategic Communications, according to UNN.

The materials actively use propaganda clichés such as "Ukrainian Nazis," "Kyiv junta," and "barbaric act against a civilian object." A specific emphasis is placed on artificial historical parallels with Nazi Germany,

- the report states.

The key message of the campaign is that Ukraine is allegedly purposefully destroying cultural heritage and historical memory.

Simultaneously, through statements by Maria Zakharova, the Kremlin is attempting to shift responsibility for the incident onto NATO countries and the US, promoting the thesis of their "complicity" in the destruction of historical monuments and the disruption of the negotiation process.

In total, on June 10 alone, approximately 4,700 materials mentioning Ukraine were published on about 330 resources associated with Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI).
