The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence has recommended that parliament pass a bill aimed at regulating the military registration of women who were registered in violation of the law. This was reported by UNN with reference to the card for bill No. 15116-1.
Following the discussion, the committee decided to recommend that the Verkhovna Rada, based on the results of the first reading: include bills No. 15116 and 15116-1 on the agenda. Based on the results of the consideration of bill 15116-1 in the first reading, it should be adopted as a basis and in its entirety. Bill (reg. No. 15116) is to be rejected
It is noted that the Ministry of Defense supported the draft law without comments, while the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not support the aforementioned draft laws.
According to bill No. 15116-1, women who were placed on the military register in violation of requirements are subject to removal from the register following a verification conducted by the Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) within a period not exceeding 30 calendar days from the date of application.
Additionally, women for whom an erroneous removal from the military register is established during verification, but who are on active military service or have a valid contract at the time of verification, are subject to reinstatement on the military register with their data entered into the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Persons Liable for Military Service, and Reservists.
It should be noted that bill No. 15116 provided that women who were placed on the military register in violation of requirements are subject to removal from it.
As a reminder
The Ministry of Defense previously promised to correct technical errors regarding the military registration of women and to cancel fines in the "Rezerv+" app. Those affected are advised to contact the ministry's hotlines.
