The Swedish Ministry of Defense reported that the preparation of ASC890 airborne early warning and control aircraft for transfer to Ukraine is on schedule. This is reported by UNN with reference to Delfi.
The transfer of Swedish ASC890 airborne early warning and control aircraft to Ukraine, which was announced in May last year, is not behind schedule. Delivery times are related to the preparation of certain modifications to the F-16 fighters.
"The delivery times of the ASC890 are related to when certain modifications to the F-16 fighters will be ready," the Swedish Ministry of Defense said.
The Swedish defense ministry also explained that there are no delays in sending the AWACS aircraft, but for security reasons, no one will report when and where certain actions took place or will take place.
It is worth recalling that Sweden is also helping with the training of Ukrainian pilots.

The Prime Minister of Great Britain and military planners discussed the possibility of sending British "Typhoon" fighters to Ukraine to cover troops from the air. This will happen if British soldiers enter Ukraine.
