Sibiga to attend G7 meeting in Italy: meetings with Blinken and Borrell planned

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga takes part in the G7 meeting in Italy on November 25-26. Negotiations with representatives of the US, EU and other countries are scheduled to discuss support for Ukraine amid Russian aggression.

Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga is visiting Italy for two days to participate in the G7 meeting, where he will hold a series of bilateral talks. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, UNN reports.

On November 25-26, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga will visit Italy on behalf of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to participate in the Group of Seven ministerial meeting 

- the statement said.

It is noted that today Sibiga will hold a series of bilateral talks with his Italian counterpart Anthony Tajani, EU diplomat Josep Borrell, and foreign ministers of the Global South.

The Foreign Ministry clarified that Sibiga had already met with Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohamed Bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi to discuss Ukraine's energy needs.

Tomorrow, on November 26, Sibiga will take part in a special session of the Group of Seven ministerial meeting dedicated to Ukraine, as well as a series of bilateral talks with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot, Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly, and German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock.

"The key topic of the talks will be strengthening support for Ukraine against the backdrop of Russia's recent aggressive steps, including the involvement of DPRK troops in the aggression, shelling of Ukraine with a medium-range ballistic missile, air terror against civilians, critical infrastructure and the energy system," the Foreign Ministry said.

G7 foreign ministers meet in Foggia and Anagni in Italy to discuss, among other things, Russia's war against Ukraine, with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga expected to attend.
