Russian propaganda continues its information campaign to discredit the Ukrainian Defense Forces. This time, a fake is being spread about alleged "blocking detachments" of the National Guard of Ukraine, which prevent other units of the Defense Forces from leaving their positions. This is reported by UNN with reference to the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
Details
The Russians spread a fake that alleged units of the NGU are acting as "blocking detachments" near the village of Zybyne in the Kharkiv region, preventing soldiers of the 113th Territorial Defense Forces brigade from leaving their positions.
But in reality, these reports are a fabrication. As noted by the CPD, with such fakes, Russia is trying to attribute to Ukraine its own practices of troop management, characteristic of its war machine, which disregards human lives.
The Center for Countering Disinformation also added that the purpose of this campaign is to sow discord between different branches of the armed forces and create the illusion of a "front collapse" to form the impression that Ukraine is resorting to the use of "blocking detachments."
Recall
Earlier, UNN reported that Russian propaganda intensified its campaign to spread disinformation about an alleged "split" in NATO and the curtailment of Western support for Ukraine.
