In Dzhankoi and Yevpatoria, wired telephone booths are being installed for calling emergency services. Mobile communication and the internet in Dzhankoi work only 8 hours a day.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, the Russians decided to demonstrate another "technological breakthrough": due to blackouts and communication outages, they began installing stationary payphones on city streets. This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (CCD), informs UNN.

Details

It is noted that while the world is rolling out 5G networks, Russia is confidently taking the peninsula back to the last century.

In Dzhankoi, mobile communication and the internet now operate on a schedule - only eight hours a day, and in Sevastopol, the occupiers are unable to even maintain the electricity outage schedule of "2 hours every 6", so they advise civilians to listen to the news on the radio

- the article states.

It is indicated that in order to somehow simulate "care" for the population, wired telephone booths for calling emergency services have begun to be installed on the streets of Dzhankoi and Yevpatoria.

"The forced technological degradation of Crimea once again shows how the reality of the Russian occupation differs from the propaganda picture of 'prosperity with Russia.' The occupiers have deliberately turned the peninsula into a continuous militarized base, making the civilian population hostages and a 'human shield' for the protection of their military facilities," the CCD summarizes.

Reminder

Russian invaders in Crimea are tightening communication restrictions; in Dzhankoi, network access is possible only 8 hours a day. The civilian population remains without communication for 16 hours, which is used to conceal troop movements.
