Russian troops launched a night drone strike on the civilian bulk carrier ANT, which was en route from one of the Odesa region ports to Turkey. As a result of the attack, two crew members were injured. This was reported by the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to UNN.

According to the Navy, the Vanuatu-flagged vessel, owned by a Turkish shipowner, was transporting cargo to Turkey. An enemy drone hit the superstructure of the bulk carrier, causing a fire to break out on board.
Thanks to the prompt actions of the units of the Maritime Search and Rescue Service and the Naval Forces of Ukraine, the fire was quickly localized.
Two injured crew members were promptly evacuated by Ukrainian Navy boats and transported to a medical facility,
The Navy emphasized that Russia continues to pose a threat to international shipping in the Black Sea by carrying out attacks on civilian infrastructure and merchant vessels. According to the Ukrainian military, the strike on the bulk carrier was deliberate.
